The 5-Step Career Transition Program
Many people dissatisfied with their career don’t know exactly what they want to do, but know it’s not what they’re currently doing. The 5-Step Career Transition Program helps connect the individual with their values, passions, strengths, and talents. This process helps you evaluate whether your present career and job are a good fit, look at your abilities, interests, personality type, and values, and identify alternative careers that fit best with who you are.
The program is built around two core assumptions: that people are more satisfied and successful when they are in a career aligned with who they are as an individual, and that accurate self-understanding is essential for good career decisions.
The five steps
Step 1
Increasing Self-Understanding
Initial assessment, developing a career goal, and clarifying your passion, talents, and values.
Step 2
Exploring Career Alternatives
Generate a list of quality career alternatives and research them in depth.
Step 3
Finding a Career Fit
Narrow down the options and make a well-informed choice.
Step 4
Developing a Crossover Plan
Map how to get from where you are now to where you want to be — creating a vision and a plan outlined in detail.
Step 5
Putting the Plan into Action
Create structure, set up support, and get mobilized. This is where the plan becomes reality.
